Our History
Ramgarhia Sabha Reading (RSR) is now a Charitable Incorporated Organisation. Originally registered as a charity in 1976 (277041)
Converted from a video rental shop and flats, demonstrates the selfless volunteer service (Seva) of the Sikh community.
Supported by the young and the old, by women and by men this venture was regarded as their “first” home.
Some were even included in helping out with some of the major structural activities.
Through this community support and selfless seva model from our 1st Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s teachings…
…RSR continues to prosper and progress in developing its services to the Reading Community, and deserving causes.
2016/7 delivered a major internal refurbishment with generous support from a major benefactor.
RSR was totally gutted and redeveloped into the new internal high-quality premises enjoyed by all today.
Indeed this also facilitated RSR to purchase next door building that helped to extend parking facilities.
